What it takes to become a great leader by “Ducati Maartens”

What does it take to be a leader? Everyone that you encounter and where ever the term leadership comes up the first thing that comes to mind is fame and how wonderful it is being looked up o, being respected, worshiped and admired by you’re fellow man, nobody ever talks about the negative, the consequences of being admired, looked up to and being separated from the rest…

I should be standing here talking about the characteristics of being a leader, now that is easy! Being a good leader means being responsible, being goal driven, being consequent, but who wants to be good leader when you can become a great one? Who would want to strive half way for a dream and not reach their whole and full potential? What good is a dream if the aim is not to give you’re all and work every second of everyday to excel to perfection?

But unfortunately the difference between being a good leader and becoming a great one is two totally different sides of the coin! To become a great leader means throwing away the rule book and doing what ever it takes, clawing with you’re fingernails in every second of everyday! Tearing yourself to peaces, destroying yourself and everyone around you for the little peaces of the puzzle that will make the difference between life and death in the end!

To become a great and excellent leader means putting yourself to the hazard, it means sacrificing the things you love the most and everything you have worked the hardest for, for a goal above that of a normal soul… because the truth is if you can make yourself more than a man, if you can devote you’re life to  an ideal, then you become something else entirely… you will become more powerful than you could ever have imagined, stronger than you thought was possible… when you devote yourself to that cause, you will separate yourself from being the man you were and instantly transform yourself into legend!

But that is when it starts turning around… even though it is good being an excellent leader you still have to let the bad in with the good. For being that type of leader means going to sleep every night knowing that everybody hates you for being different, going to sleep knowing that millions despises you for doing something that they are to scared to try… Despising you for separating yourself from them and even though you’re intentions are for he right reason and you do it  to lead the people towards greatness and striving for excellence, ou well still do it knowing you’re being despised and sometimes even hated by the same people you are trying to save…! Being a great leader means waking up in the morning knowing that you’re actions today will determine the lives and dreams of others! Being a great leader means preparing for tat one day where you will be forced to ruin the lives of 300 men, in order to save a thousand! Preparing yourself for the endless nights where you will cry yourself to sleep and force yourself to wake up with a smile!

Being a great leader means separating yourself from the rest, and placing you’re entire body, mind, heart and soul amongst the stars! And even though the stars are 300 000 light-years apart,,, and the feeling of loneliness grows heavier with every breath and pressing down harder with every breath! Being that great leader means giving faith, and living towards and for that one day where people will finally realize that what you do and the way you act, and even though it sounds bad, unthinkable and ruthless, were meant for the right reason…. Even though you’re closest friends will turn on you despite…!

Being a great leader means waiting patiently for that one day where someone, somewhere will finally realize that the only difference between them and you, is that you had the heart to make the choice that no one else would! That you made the right decision even though you knew that it will be questioned and resented for eternity!

Being that great leader means being able to separate yourself from you’re fears… looking you’re fears in the eyes and shouting at all the storms to come and warning them to do they’re worst… for you will do yours and nothing will stand in you’re way… not even yourself! And then… as you are liberated from you’re own fears.. You’re presence, will automatically liberate others!
