The purpose of this Advocacy Group is to:

Align with other Advocacy Groups

Create awareness and distribute information about the
illness and possible treatment options (protocols) to medical staff as
well as patients

Provide patient support

Work with Government on medical aid issues

Work together with medical aids

Build trust between all stakeholders

Present Leukaemia patients in different forums
The purpose of the Group is NOT to:
- Push a specific drug or pharmaceutical company
- Criticize any particular profession or person involved in that
profession
- Criticize any drug or treatment option
LAG recognizes:
- The important role that pharmaceutical companies play
- The important role that the medical profession plays in the
treatment of patients
- That not all patients are the same and treatment options could
therefore differ from patient to patient
