Gal 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Gal 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Gal 3:29 And if ye [be] Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

The whole Bible is about Jesus Christ, not the Jews as so many people think. The Bible is about the plan that God had for man, namely to send Jesus Christ to pay for our sins so that we may overcome the devil by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony. This included the creation of man, man's fall and then God's plan to redeem man, making man His children through the sacrificing work of Jesus Christ.

This means that the Bible is not about the Israelites or the state of Israel. This is exactly why the people in the days of Jesus could not except Him as Saviour - He had no army to deliver the state of Israel from the rule of the Roman empire. The Bible is about what would happen to man after Jesus Christ made the ultimate sacrifice and why it was necessary to make that sacrifice.

When God gave His promises to Abraham, He had a very specific goal in mind. It is interesting to see how many people think that God came to set the current state of Israel free. Even the people in the time of Jesus on earth thought that.

But God had another plan. He blessed Abraham, then Isaac, then Jacob. The promises of Abraham did not fall on all his children, just like it did not fall on all of Isaac's children and not on all Jacob's children. Why is then that people think that the blessing was intended for all of Israel?

God made the promise to Abraham, then to Isaac etc. down to Jesus Christ. If we are Christ's, then we are the seed that God was talking about. Only those who have been set free are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

Does this mean that Israel is not blessed? This question is just as dumb as asking whether the other children of Abraham was cursed. Off course they can also partake in the blessings of Abraham - but then they have to be born again, become heirs of Christ, just like everybody else. They of course had the privilege of being able to say that Jesus was born via the Jews. But that is all.

Who are the people of the faith? It is those people who are born again and receive forgiveness, eternal life and peace with God through faith.

So rest assured: When the Bible talks about Abraham's seed, God is talking about those who have been washed by the Blood of the Lamb, those of the faith.

GAL 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Why is this important? Because all the promises God gave to Abraham now becomes our promises.

Deu 28:1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee a holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD swore unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

This is an example of all the benefits that we have got coming to us. It is important because all the curses that came on the human race with the fall of Adam was broken. Just like before the fall of Adam, man and women is once again on the same level, being assistants to one another. The curse on the women has been lifted. Man does not have to earn his bread with sweat any more. He can now prosper and enjoy it. Women no longer have to fear the birth of their children. Man no longer has to fear snakes. All the curses that came with Adam's fall has now been cancelled out with the Blood of Jesus Christ.
