Curse of the Law

People who do not obey the Law is cursed:

Deu 27:26  Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen

Deu 28:15  But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

 

 

Curses on the Generation

Exo 34:7  And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

Exo 34:6  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

 

Deu 5:9  Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the Third  and fourth generation of them that hate me,

 

It is once again important to understand that the Hebrew language did not make a difference between a cause and a effect. When the Bible states that God will put a curse on you, it actually means that God will withdraw and you will not be protected against the curse.

 

Not just that - If parents do not follow God, their children has very little hope of serving the Lord as the children do not do what you tell them to do, they do what they see you do. It then takes more than three generations for the people to start thinking for themselves again and therefore God recognized that if the parents do not do what God wants them to do, three generations and more will continue along that road until they come to their senses.

 

MARRIAGE

We see the same effect in marriages. If parents get divorsed, children nearly always follow suit - and their children and so-on. It takes a person with guts to break this "curse".

 

CHURCH

The same goes for churches. People will go to a church where the pastor is not even born again. Their children will go to the same church, and their children and so-on until a generation rises that breaks this "curse" and accpets Jesus Christ as their Savior. Then their children serves God and so on.

 

How to bring a Curse on Ourselves

Jer 17:5  Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Jer 17:6  For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.

 

People all have their own agendas. People are not out to see how they can take the money they have earned and give it over to you or somebody else.

 

People will give you something when they feel that they will get more value out of that than if they did not give you anything. That is why the Lord is forcing us to tithe - not because He desperately needs the money, but becuase we turn into selfish brats if we never learn how to share.

 

So if we now trust in man to solve our problems for us, we can be really sure that we are going to be taken for a ride. Therefore God calls us cursed and not blessed.

 

The other thing is that when God sends something good to us, we will not see it. We will think it was man that gave it to us and this will then cause us to thank man and not God. God does not like that and He will stop blessing us. That is the other reason why God calls this a place of curse rather than a place of blessings.

Mal 2:2  If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.

 

Once again remember that God does God does not put these curses on you but you move out from under His protection and this is what will happen to you f you do that.

 

The Lord turns Curses in our Favor

Nobody can place any curse on a child of God. Even if they try, God turns it around so that it works in our favor because He loves us:

Deu 23:5  Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

Deu 23:4  Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.

 

How to Break any Curses on Your Life

GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST

Gal 3:13  Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

Gal 3:14  That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

 

After being born again, none of the curses of the law are applicable to us any more.

 

HAVE A TENDER HEART

We find the king of Judah in a country that is cursed due to the fact that his forefathers did not want to submit to god. They therefore moved out from under God's protection and this left them open to any attacks that came their way.

 

Then Josiah hears about the God's law. Here the Lord listened to Josiah who was sad when he heard about God's law for the first time and how they never kept this law.

2Ki 22:11  And it came to pass, when the king had heard the words of the book of the law, that he rent his clothes.

 

Because of this, God had mercy on him and his country and did not let the curse come over the nation as long as Josiah lived.

2Ki 22:19  Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what I spoke against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith the LORD.

 

Conclusion

If you have a tender heart that is not boastful or proud but open to correction and guidance of the Holy Spirit and you are born again, no curse can have any effect on you.

Should anybody dare t curse you, God will change it so that it will be to your benefit.
